Hi I'm Elder Meyer

I'm a valedictorian, future teacher, and a full-time missionary. I love literature, history, and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in and have lived my entire life in Southern California until my mission. I have been a Mormon my entire life. I am an Eagle Scout. I graduated high school with the Class of 2016 as a valedictorian. I was Drum Major of my high school marching band and I play the trombone and piano. After graduation, I worked for a time as a tutor at a middle school. I have been called to serve a mission for my church in the Florida Tallahassee Spanish speaking mission from 2016 to 2018. I am excited to serve. After my mission, I have been accepted to and will begin enrollment at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I am excited to continue my education and hopefully study, to one degree or another, literature, philosophy, history, language and religious texts.

Why I am a Mormon

I firmly believe that the purpose of our entire existence is to be happy. I have learned for myself that God does exist and He loves us and wants us to be happy. Because of this, He has not left us in the dark. He has brought forth the Bible and the Book of Mormon to teach us, and He has called prophets to let us know what He wants us to do that we may be happy. I have prayed and I have received a confirmation that this Church is the true church where God's prophets and the fullness of His Gospel reside. This gospel is the source of the most happiness that can be found in this life.

How I live my faith

I was a youth leader in my ward, and some things I got to do as part of having that responsibility include planning fun activities for the teenage young men and young women, teaching lessons during church, and visiting members of the church who are too sick to attend. I was also the ward chorister, so I led the congregation in singing hymns during church meetings. I am now serving a full-time, two year mission for the church, which I began in December 2016. My purpose in this calling is to invite all to come unto Jesus Christ and truly know God and His plan.
