Hi I'm Dean Delp

I grew up in Tallahassee Florida. I'm currently serving a full time mission in Federal Way, Washington state and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently 19 years old and serving a full time mission in Washington state. I love History, Reading, Writing, and New-Media Projects. I'm a bit of a film nut and I love making movies as well as watching them. I also love podcasting and before my mission I spent around 2.5 years hosting and co-hosting podcasts (the longest of which had around 80 hours of content over 74 episodes and 3 seasons). When I come home I plan on returning to podcasts (as well as pursuing traditional radio), and movies in addition to going to applying for and going to college.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church, both of my parents were converted by missionaries independently of each other. I went through the motions without really thinking about the veracity of what I was doing until I reached high school. Being a devout member of the church is a large time commitment and I realized that if I was going to keep spending so much time on this, that I should really learn whether or not it was true. I read the book of Mormon for myself and did as it directs. After a year or so of prayer and diligence, I received a personal witness from the Holy Spirit that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was indeed God's true church on the Earth. Ever since that realization I have done my best to stay faithful and as of right now I am serving a mission in Washington state.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm living my faith by serving a full time (2 year) mission in Washington state. Before coming out on my mission I have served in multiple leadership and teaching positions in my local congregation and I may end up in similar positions once I'm home.
