Hi I'm Tyler Ketring

I am from Washington state. I am an eagle scout. I'm a mormon missionary.

About Me

I am a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Things that I like to do include skiing in the winter time and biking in the summer. Above all I enjoy being a missionary and helping other people.

Why I am a Mormon

As a member I was born into the gospel. Both my parents were worthy church members and I was taught the gospel in my early youth. But that doesn't mean that I didn't find out for myself that the church was true. I have prayed many times and read the scriptures, including all of the Book of Mormon, to know if it was true. And ever since I was a young boy I knew that I felt the Holy Ghost bear witness to me that this church is true. I know that what I felt was real, and just like Joseph Smith, I cannot deny it.

How I live my faith

When I was growing up in my youth at my home ward I was always participating in activities with the other youth. I helped plan events for our youth activities and went on scouting campouts. With my dad I was a home teacher and went to members homes and taught them monthly about the gospel.

What are Mormon temples used for?

Tyler Ketring
Mormon temples today are houses of the Lord and serve a sacred purpose to God and His people. These temples are where God could dwell and are considered some of the most holiest places on the face of the planet. In the temple, worthy church members have the ability to receive knowledge, perform sacred promises and commitments to our Heavenly Father such as baptism for the dead and cealings, which is when a man and a wife are married for all eternity so that their family unit will last beyond the grave. I personally have been in some of these temples, and I bear my testimony that the temple is the only place on earth where we can be closest to God while on earth and that these sacred buildings are beacons to those who are willing to follow Christ.
