Hi I'm Taylor

I was born and raised in Burley, Idaho. I have danced for 13 years, sang in a competitive choir for 6 years, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

A little bit about me? Well...I am TERRIBLE at any sport that involves a ball (seriously though I always end up getting hit with the ball no matter what..even if I'm just sitting on the sidelines), but I have danced for my whole life. Dance is definitely my passion. I have also taught classes and choreographed routines. I sang in a competitive choir all through school. I love love LOVE photography. I don't have many other hobbies or talents. I love meeting and serving people. Which is one of the many reasons that I'm serving a mission for the LDS church. I've been called to Des Moines, Iowa and I am so so excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been born and raised in this gospel. Some people think that it makes me automatically converted, but it doesn't. I had to learn and figure out for myself that this gospel is true. For a while I just used my parents faith and trusted they knew what they were talking about. One day I decided that it was too hard to live up to the standards of the church, and I had doubts about it, so i started making my own choices. I wasn't necessarily doing anything bad, but i wasn't exactly living up to the gospel standards. I really thought that I was happy. That same year I went to a girls camp (church camp). We went to Temple Square in Salt Lake City. While we were at the temple there was a bride that had just gotten married. She was so happy. At that moment in time I knew that I wanted to get married in the temple and to make those covenants with my Heavenly Father. After that I repented and started reading the Book of Mormon. I have never felt more content and happy with my life. The more I try to become closer with my Heavenly Father, and the more that I grow my testimony the happier I am. This gospel brings me true happiness and i KNOW that it is the true and everlasting gospel. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

There are lot of different ways people can live their faith. Some people have leadership opportunities or callings to be an example and better themselves along with others (which are GREAT). Though, personally I have never been given any major leadership opportunities so I try to serve others on my own. If you are serving others and being kind you're not only living your faith but you're helping them, helping yourself, and most importantly being an example to those around you. Just like Jesus Christ. He came to earth not only to atone for our sins, but also to be an example for us to follow. If your doing Christlike things you're automatically living your faith.
