Hi I'm Nathanael

I held a college degree before I graduated high school. I'm pursuing a career in astrophysics. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I just recently graduated from high school while working simultaneously on an Associates Degree through an "early college high school" program. Currently, I'm working at a local library shelving books and manning the desk, but someday I want to be involved in a space program, NASA maybe. I would love to design rockets, plan missions, or even be one of the lucky ones that actually goes into space. Man, that would rule! But anyway. In my day-to-day life, I love to practice the piano (I've been playing for about 13 years), read pretty much anything, play with my cat, go out with friends, and go to baseball games with my parents. I'm taking a break for college for now to serve an LDS mission (proselyting my faith full-time) but when I get back I'll be at school full-time and preparing for grad school, where I hope to learn a ton and do some exciting stuff.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was about 14, I had a crisis of faith. I've always believed in God and I was raised a Mormon, but I realized that I wasn't living the way I had been taught, the way I believed a person should live. I had to decide: would I change my actions, bringing them in alignment with my beliefs, or would I continue to live like I had been? Well, I knew what I had to do, so I made some difficult changes to my life, and more importantly, I turned to my Savior, Jesus Christ, and asked for HIs forgiveness and help. I can say, several years later, that He helped me, forgave me, and led me to the place I'm at today. My life is completely different and I am so, so happy. I know He can change hearts and forgive sin, I know He lives, and I know strongest of all that He loves me and everyone else more strongly than you can imagine. Like I said earlier, I've always believed in God; but what I didn't always know, but do now, is that I want to be as good as Him, and that if I follow Him, He will shape me as He desires. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Once in a while my dad and I will go visit elderly and sick people in our neighborhood. I feel it really brightens their day and I love to do it. I try to read the scriptures and pray every day too. Mostly I try in my daily actions to be good. I do my best to follow the example that Jesus set, and to obey my church leaders.
