Hi I'm Rozanne

I am a 65 year old daughter, wife, mother of 10 children, and grandmother to 18 grandchildren and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Logan, UT, where my Dad graduated from Utah State University in 1951. As a child, I lived in several places in Utah; Palmer, Alaska; Lincoln, Nebraska; a short time in Arlington, VA; and San Angelo, TX. My husband, of 45 years, is retired Air Force. During his time in the military, we lived in Okinawa, Utah, California, North Dakota, Texas, Maryland, and Japan. My husband and I have raised 10 children. I didn't really work outside my home until in 2002 when I went to work at our local high school. I worked as a choir aide for six years and as an office aide in the counseling center for six years. By the way, this was the high school I had graduated from! All ten of our children attended thischool and eight of them graduated from my high school! I love music and have sung with the Angelo State University Choir for many years. I love to go to my high school football games and I love to go to live plays.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been an active Mormon all of my life. I believe in the doctrines that are taught by the Church. The doctrines of the Church are perfect, but the people are not. We are all striving to live our lives so we can return to live with our Heavenly Father one day. As I get older, I feel a stronger relationship with my Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ. I know I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father and he loves me and I love Him. I have a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church on the earth at this time. I know the Book of Mormon is true and was written for us. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true and living prophet today and he will not lead us astray.

How I live my faith

I believe that service is big part of the gospel and so I organized our women's group to help with delivering Meals for the Elderly on a regular basis. I also helped organize a Christmas in July to make ornaments to take around to nursing homes for the holidays. During my lifetime I have had many Church callings. I have worked with toddlers, children, teenagers, young adults, and women. Most recently I have been teaching women once a month. For many years I worked in Boy Scouting. Our Church is a big supporter of Boy Scouts of America. In fact, the activity link for the boys in our Church, from eight years old until eighteen years old is Cub Scouting and Boy Scouting. Several years ago I received the Cubmaster of the Year Award from our District. I have had the privilege of working in the Lubbock, TX Temple for a couple of years. Again, I was serving the patrons and felt so close to God.
