Hi I'm Sister Halee Cannon

I love music. I play the piano, flute, and sing. I love horses. I love nannying. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love anything music related, I play the piano, the flute, and I sing. I think music is a way that allows you to express yourself in ways no spoken language can. I was the Vocal Sterling Scholar for Woods Cross High, and made it to the state level. I love anything with little kids as well, I nanny and one day hope to become a Kindergarten teacher. I also work at a vet clinic as a kennel tech. I plan to attend BYU after serving a mission. I have a deep love for horses, and although I don't own any right now, hope to one day. I am third born of seven children and my siblings are my best friends.

Why I am a Mormon

This gospel brings happiness and a sense of purpose that can be found no place else. I have been brought up in the gospel and always believed it is true, but it wasn't until the last couple years of my life that I began to know it is true and find out for myself. My parents were recently divorced and life leading up to that the past couple years has brought a lot of challenges and a lot of things I never expected to have to endure. I would constantly break down and wonder why I had to go through this and how I was going to make it through. I would call my two older brothers almost daily and just sob to them asking them what I could do. They would both always reply, "read your scriptures and pray". For a while it was hard to remember to do that, and hard to remember to pray. As I started to take their advice and pray more often and more sincerely begging Heavenly Father to help me feel His love, I had countless undeniable experiences where I could tangibly feel the love and comfort of our Heavenly Father and Savior. As the last couple years have played out and I have been preparing to serve a mission, I have been studying the scriptures and praying harder than I ever have before. Through this I have gained a much stronger and closer relationship with my Savior and Heavenly Father. They are my foundation. I have also gained a stronger testimony of the Book of Mormon. I know the stories and teachings in the book are true and can be applied to our lives today. I know our Savior suffered and died for me and everyone else to make it possible for us to return to live with our Heavenly Father. I know that Heavenly Father is aware of us and aware of our needs. I know without a doubt that my call to the Honolulu, Hawaii mission is from the Lord. I know the temple is a place of love and learning. I know families can be together forever. I love Heavenly Father and this gospel and know it is true and that it has shaped me into the person I am today.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Hawaii, Honolulu mission. I will speak English and will serve for a period of 18 months.
