Hi I'm Marama Haretuku

I'm born and breed in the beautiful country of good ol' New Zealand. I'm a convert and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Well I grew up in a non-religious background with 4 siblings, my mum and dad. I love to listen to music! I'm a chill person not fussy. Just like to cruise with whatever a good movie with some good food and I'm a happy person.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Because it's true! I had a rough patch within myself a few years back and all I could see and feel was darkness. I remember asking myself ... Is this it? Is this what life is meant to be like? Feel like? I knew I was worth more than what I was getting and worth more than how people were treating me. Then, as I was asking these questions and other questions no-one could really answer them UNTIL ... I came a cross the missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. From my first few lesson I was sold. I light turned back on and I literally started to see light and feel warm on the inside again. Some of my family and friends think I'm a "weirdo churchy girl" now. But, they don't understand how it feels to feel love beyond human comprehension. I know this church is true, there is no doubt about it! If it wasn't I would have just disregarded it completely! ( And that's putting it in a nice way) Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father lives. They live, and they love! They love me and YOU!

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day. I'm not a perfect angel but I know that my Heavenly Father and only brother Jesus Christ is right beside me cheering me on. I love to teach the Gospel with the missionaries, at church or anywhere really. Reading through lessons, scriptures, going back on previous conferences etc I find a great pass time. I always get involved in my Ward's activities, give service to other people when needed, watching people being happy and smiling is a joy that I know is meant to be felt in this life.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Marama Haretuku
No. Not all are required to serve a mission. But, the desire to serve and share what we know is so strong! But if people do choose to serve a mission. Them, their families and their friends will be blessed! If they have the desire to serve then that is fantastic news!!! Show more Show less
