Hi I'm Aubrey

I grew up in Maryland. I go to school at BYU-Hawaii. I love to play volleyball, write, surf, and play the ukulele. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love volleyball. I played on the BYU-Hawaii volleyball team in 2015. I'm from a family of 8. I am the 2nd oldest kid. (one older sister, four younger brothers) I love having a big family. I love to write songs and stories. I hope to publish a novel within the next decade. The only instrument I play is the ukulele. I play it almost every day. I love surfing, hiking, and climbing trees. When I grow up, I want to live near the water. Hawaii would be ideal, I love the culture and lifestyle there! I LOVE animals, especially dogs! I'm terrified of snakes though.

Why I am a Mormon

There are so many aspects of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that I love. I know that living the way the church teaches is the best way to be happy. God promises blessings for keeping his commandments and I always feel those blessings when I'm trying to live the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission in Irvine, California!!! I try to show my faith by showing the world how happy the gospel makes me. I try to be cheery wherever I go, so that people can see that the church really does bring a light to my life that can't be found anywhere else. When it comes to living the gospel, I think the best place to start is the family. I try to serve and support my family first. Serving your family is an easy way to bless the people around you constantly and can prepare you to serve others as well.

What is being a Mormon like?

Aubrey
When a lot of people think of Mormons, their minds go to "They don't drink coffee." or "They don't work on Sundays." When I think about being a Mormon, I think about what I DO do. I do strive to keep a strong relationship with my family, as they are sacred in the church. I do try to align my will with God's will. I do belief in Jesus Christ and love him for what he's done for me. I do look for opportunities to serve others, as they are all precious children of God. The DO's of being a Mormon are about 95% of what being a Mormon is like, and it brings me peace and joy. Show more Show less
