Hi I'm Jonathan Gibson

Hi! I'm a singer, an actor, a friend, a nerd, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'll be serving in the Canada Edmonton mission for the next two years (2016-2018). My hobbies include singing, playing the piano, drawing, and performing in musical theater. When I return home, I will be going to the University of Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but I have read the Book of Mormon for myself and prayed about it. I personally have obtained a testimony of the Book of Mormon and the power it has. I have a testimony that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. In a time of darkness, I almost lost the light I had grown up in. The trials I faced almost extinguished my testimony. If it weren't for my dear mother and the love of the Savior, I surely would be a lost soul right now. The gospel brings such a light and joy to my life that I cannot describe. I am a Mormon because I know where I'm going in my life and where I'm going in the life to come. I am a Mormon because I want to be. Nobody else can decide who I am for me. I have the choice to be what I want to be. I choose to be happy.

How I live my faith

I am a full time missionary in the Canada Edmonton Mission speaking the Mandarin language. I live my faith by leading by example. I try to be the best version of myself in order to help bring the light of the gospel to those around me. I'm not a perfect person, but I try to be better every day. Sometimes, life gets hard, and you are presented with trials that seem too great for you to bear. The good news is that you don't have to do it alone. With the Savior's help, anyone can overcome anything they are struggling with. Sometimes taking life one day at a time is all you can do, but if it's all you can do, it's good enough for the Lord. He'll make up the difference as long as you give it your best.
