Hi I'm Willy Ward

I'm an Eagle Scout. I am from Virginia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the fall of October in Nampa, Idaho. Nampa is a small town near Boise, the capital of Idaho. I remember the highlights of Christmas and the occasional family reunion and small trips we took. In the winter of 2007 me and my family moved to northern Virginia. Me and my brother and three sisters learned to love trees and all around green color of Virginia compared to Idaho's brown dirt color. I have lived in Virginia for the past 9 years and in December will leave to be a missionary in the Spain, Madrid mission. I am excited to serve the people of Spain.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that practiced the Mormon Faith. I do not have a remarkable story of my conversion. I read The Book of Mormon when I was young and though I did not understand everything I felt good when reading it. From this feeling, which is the spirit, I continued to study and learn more. I was baptized and confirmed a member when I was eight years old. At twelve years old I received the Aaronic Priesthood. Through the years I have continued to feel the spirit bear witness of the truth of this gospel. I know the The Book of Mormon to be true and I can not deny it. This I bear witness.

How I live my faith

For the last six years I have been a leader in a young men's quorum. I have been able to help my peers gain skills and most importantly I have been able to help them build their faith in the the atonement of Jesus Christ. I invite those who have fallen away from the path that leads them back to Heavenly Father by keeping them informed of activities and events that would help feel the spirit testify of Gods love for them. On many occasions I have times where friends have questions on why I don't do things on Sunday or why it always seems I am busy, I am then able to invite them to the events that take up my time. I Live my faith by observing the Sabbath Day and helping others feel the love God has for them.
