Hi I'm Sean

I live in Utah but I'm prepping for my mission.

About Me

I just recently graduated from high school.. I was on the Cross Country team with my fastest 5k time being 19:16. I was also in hand bells for six years and maybe I'll be able to join the Mormon Tabernacle bells in the future? I play the guitar, have a pet tortoise named Zippy and play a ridiculous amount of hacky sack. I love Brandon Sanderson books, my favorite being The Way of Kings. I like video games and do plenty of random nerding for my family. I consider myself good at random useless things like hacky sack, ping pong, and making weird noises with my mouth. Finally, I can do the belly wave. *Drops mic*

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Gospel, my mom and dad have always been very supportive but my mom always said as long as we live in her house we go to church. Well, now that we've gotten older she can't control us as much but little has changed honestly. I look at the example of my two older siblings, my sister who is going to singles ward and is just so compassionate, and my brother who is currently on his mission, and I can't help but smile thinking about when we used to complain about church when we were young. I don't know if I can name one 'conversion moment.' One thing that made me go "oh! The church is true." I heard it plenty as a kid and yes I prayed and learned as much as I could. When I was younger I was just trying to be as good as (or better than I guess) my older siblings. I was pretty competitive. But eventually you have to realize you're either wasting three hours a week at church or something good has to come from it. And somewhere along the way, probably through multiple moments, I began to recognize the good feeling I felt at church, with those people, and when you sense that, you chase it. And so I did. And I still am.

How I live my faith

Currently I'm prepping for a mission. I've been called as a ward missionary. Most of my other friends are Mormon and we go to the temple and stuff together. We're trying to make our way in the world though none of us really know how to. Right now I'm just focusing on preparation for the mission which is why I'm typing this right now.
