Hi I'm Nicolas

I grew up in Park City Utah. I have a resting face that could curdle milk. I'm a missionary in Italy Milan. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Nicolas, I am the only boy and I have three sisters. I speak 4 languages and am currently on a mission for the church in the beautiful Italy Milan mission. I am the first missionary on both lines of my family. After my mission I plan on going to college at the University of Utah. I love doing humanitarian work as well as travel. I have always had a love and passion to serve others and I am happy I have this opportunity to serve a full time mission. Im big on snowboarding and love taking photos. I love hiking, mountain biking, tennis, and soccer. I thoroughly enjoy spending time in the outdoors and going places i have never been before.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe all of the core beliefs the church preaches. I was born into the church, but when I was young, I told my parents that I was going to find out for myself whether or not I believed in the church. I sought for help and inspiration and after several years of reading and praying, I found for myself that the church was true and that I believed everything I was taught growing up in the church. I am a Mormon because I love serving others and it is because of my desire to serve others that I am dedicating 2 years out of my life to go and serve and teach others all the beautiful things the church teaches and has to offer. I would not go and use up two years of my life to teach people about something that I, myself, didn't believe to be true. I am a Mormon, because I know that this church is true and know that Jesus Christ died so that we could all be saved and return to live with him one day. I have so much to thank the church for. I am so thankful for all the leaders and teachers who helped me get to where I am today. I have never been happier than when I am following in the Saviors footsteps. I know that if we truly seek to find out if the church is true and call on God for help, that he will answer our prayers. I tried it out for myself, and I have never looked back. Staying active in this wonderful gospel is the best decision I have ever made and will continue making forever. I have a deep love for this gospel and am honored that I have this opportunity now to go and teach others about how they can also find this happiness for themselves.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and even when I am not in the country, I am able to find a way to make it to church. I was taught from a young age that church is not negotiable and that if I have an obligation to be at church, or a church event, I am expected to be there. I have helped the bishop and other leaders in the church to organize events for some of the boys in our church. I have helped in my high school with public events and helping in the community and I have also helped others outside of the high school in certain recycling and food distribution centers.

In whom should we have faith?

As members of the LDS faith, we are taught that we need to have faith in Jesus Christ and we need to believe that he lived and died for our sins. We need to have faith in God as well believing in him and having the trust and willingness to ask for his help. We need to trust him and believe that if we turn to him, he will help us with our problems. We need to have faith in Jesus Christ knowing why he came down to Earth and why he was put on the cross.
