Hi I'm Graeme

I'm serving a mission in Birmingham England speaking mandarin chinese. I grew up in Sandy, Utah. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I enjoy working on cars and motorcycles. I just graduated from high school in June of 2016. I plan to attend Dixie State University after I serve my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I know this church is true. I was very blessed to have grown up in this wonderful church, however I have learned for myself that this is the true church. I have attained a happiness that I have been totally unable to find anywhere else in this world. The joy that accompanies this gospel is second to none. I have felt the love of my Father in heaven on many occasions and I have felt the atonement of Jesus Christ work in my life more than words can explain. I know that families can and will be together forever through this amazing gospel. I know that there is no way on this earth that a young uneducated 14-year old boy could have translated the Book of Mormon without the hand of God. I have a testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith and what he did for this church and it's members on this earth. I testify that Jesus Christ really is our savior and no matter what you've done, no matter how low, lost, or forgotten you feel, you are not alone and forgiveness is always achievable. I believe in this gospel with my full heart and I cannot wait to get out and teach other people about this gospel and see the joy that comes into their lives because of it.

How I live my faith

I received my mission call to serve in Birmingham England and I leave October 5th for the MTC. I've served as a family history consultant in my ward for about a year and a half, which involves helping other members of my ward get into their own family history.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

The role of the husband and wife in the family is to raise their children up in righteousness and to continue teach and testify of the things they know to be true. Although raising children may not be easy, it is one of the most important works to do on this earth, especially in the latter days. Show more Show less

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Due to our state as mortals, it is impossible for us to be perfect. All of us make mistakes in our lives regardless of how old we are, how much experience we have, or how much we know. The scriptures tell us that "no unclean thing can dwell with God" (1 Nephi 10:21). In order for us to be able to come back to our Father in Heaven, he needed to create a way that we could become clean and free from sin. He sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and ultimately die so that we could be forgiven of our sins. This event was known as the atonement and it allows us to find forgiveness from our sins. Through the atonement we can be made clean and be left feeling peaceful and at rest. The atonement is fully used through a process known as repentance. When we repent, we confess our sins to God or a priesthood leader if it's in case of a serious sin, ask forgiveness from God or any others that we have done wrong, forsake, or forget, our sins, and most importantly strive to keep the commandments of God. When we do these things we will be left feeling clean and at peace knowing that the Lord has forgiven us, like it says in Doctrine and Covenants 58:42, "Behold, he who has repented of his sins, the same is forgiven, and I, the Lord, remember them no more".
