Hi I'm Jenny Dacayanan

I love every bit of my life, both the good and the bad. I trust the Lord in all that I do. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love any kind of art (writing, reading, drawing, photography, making music). It was something I did with my family and it was always something that I turned to to find joy. I love the world and I love traveling. Because of my father being a part of the military, I was able to experience many cultures and explore the world around me. I am also a college student majoring in biochemistry. I am trying to get to my goal in life which is to be a doctor.

Why I am a Mormon

I always had a fond love of His gospel and church. Growing up with my dad being in the military, it had its ups and downs. I struggled a lot when my father retired from the military. I had to enter an entirely different school during my junior year where many of the students did not fully understand what it meant to be a military brat. I felt lost. I did not know how exactly what I was supposed to do in Las Vegas. While attending seminary, I ran into the scripture 1 Nephi 3:7. It basically gave me a new perspective of my situation. The scripture, in short, says that the Lord will not give us a trial that we could not overcome. This whole new perspective helped me to see the gospel in a bigger light. I start reading my scriptures more and instead of learning about the gospel, I start to live it. The joy that I had felt from the gospel was something I wanted other people to feel and know what I know to be true. I continue to follow Him and His gospel because I know that it is true. I know that whatever I do, as long as I am living His gospel, there is nothing that cannot be overcome and that I am always going to be taken good care of. That He will always be watching me and guiding me where ever he needs me to be in order to help Him accomplish the work that needs to be done on the Earth.

How I live my faith

Growing up as a Latter-Day Saint, I learned about the gospel but I did not actually live it until later in life. Once I did make the decision to start living it, my whole world changed. I felt happier. Growing up around the world, I knew that there was another reason asides my father's job that put my family and I in the places that we were stationed. I got to met many people in the church who struggle with their belief in the church and I was able to help them find their testimony and help them regain their belief that was once lost and I still continue to do that 'til this day.
