A contractor of 25+ years. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1999. my health has deteriorated, but my faith is strong. Stacy and I have raised these 5 boys to be great men making there way through life. We lost Tiffany to drug addiction in 2013, but she left us with three beautiful grand daughters. Ivy 16, Eden 11, and Ruby 8. Stacy and I have been called to the Colorado, Colorado Springs mission, to report to the Provo MTC 11/14/2016. I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. my parents did there best to teach the Gospel, but I have a free spirt. I through my choices left the church when I was 18. I made some mistakes and got offended. I always new the church was true, it was just to easy not to live the gospel. I got married at 19, and spent the next 15 years trying to find happiness. Got involved in drugs and alcohol. After a broken marriage that left me alone, and my daughter with a part time father. I got a puppy to fill the void. After rising Trixy for six months like another child, I lost her to a car accident. When I buried her I knelt and said a prayer on her grave, (the first one since I was 16) and found myself prying for help with my addictions and my life. I had a close friend die and I was hitting bottom. I said a few more prayers and went about my life. One night I was sleeping and was woken by a voice that said it was time to change. I went back to sleep and was awakened two more times. I got up the next morning and through my cigarettes and beer in the trash and never looked back. Stacy and I were married in the temple 6 months latter. I've seen both sides of live and chose to follow my Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I'm living my faith by serving in our ward as a substitute primary teacher. I'm a father of five sons ages 20 to 30, these are good men working hard at there jobs and helping others when they have a chance. I have a fishing boat and love to take some of the elderly people in our neighborhood fishing at some of the many lakes in Central Oregon. I love to chat with these seasoned citizens and learn about there lives and families. We also get to catch a fish or two. Like my good friend Hal says "any day fishing is a good day to be alive". I have 2 single women and Two less active families that I have the privilege of visiting once a month as a home teacher. I love to serve these families of our faith. I love to help others any way I can despite my physical limitations. I have a sure knowledge that following our savior Jesus Christ and living his gospel are the way to light and happiness. Any other way is foolishness.
