Hi I'm Talia Beem

I'm an Oregonian. I love the rain. I love pugs. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student at Utah Valley University. I hope to work in a hospital one day--doing something in the medical field (I'm still young and have time to figure all that out, right?). I love being outside. I love being around lots of people. I'm a dog lover. And the Pacific Northwest is my happy place.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I find comfort in the teachings and principles described and taught in the Book of Mormon. I know that there are modern day prophets because of this! I know Heavenly Father and Jesus wouldn't leave us on the Earth today without the guidance and revelation given through a prophet. I know that families can be together as long as we keep our side of the promises we make with Him. I am grateful for the temple and for the chance we have to do work for those who have already passed on without this knowledge. I am grateful for the Atonement and for the opportunity to become better every day. The Atonement can help us in all aspects of our life--it has redeeming power, healing power, and makes up for ALL of our shortcomings. I'm grateful for the knowledge that we have of life's trickiest questions: why we're here, where we came from, and where we are going. I find true, unwavering happiness in the gospel. And this is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example to those around me. I think a smile can go a long way! I love the church and it's different organizations. I currently work with welcoming new members into the ward and helping those in the ward already that may be struggling in any way. I love helping people! I have been called to be a full time missionary for the Church in Warsaw, Poland starting in August 2016.
