Hi I'm Jeaneen

I come from a big family. I grew up on a farm in a relatively small town. I love to smile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved to read. My parents taught me to read by using the scriptures during family scripture study and since I was little it has always been one of my favorite pastimes. I recently completed my first year of college and my plan is to major in English with an emphasis in Literary Studies. That plan is currently on hold at the moment as I am to report to my mission soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in a family that belongs to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have looked to the examples of my parents and grandparents as I have grown up and seen how happy this church makes them. When I was little, my mom got really sick and my family thought that we would lose her. However, through prayer and fasting and going to Church and following the things that we were taught there, she was able to make a recovery and stay with us. This experience confirmed to me that God loved me and that everything I was being taught about being a Daughter of God and that I was loved by a Father in Heaven were true. Through my Sunday school classes as a little girl I developed a love for the stories of the scriptures and I found myself wanting to share what I knew with everyone around me. I have people as me sometimes about why I believe in the church and how I know that it is true. Through youth groups and trips that we have taken, I have felt an overabundance of love and support from my Heavenly Father and from the leaders that were asked to take care of the youth. So many experiences were able to help build my testimony of the Church and of the Gospel being true. I find that as my testimony has grown I do not feel a need to question the Lord further about specific things that I do not fully understand. I find that he has shown me the truth over and over again and that my experiences and trials are more than sufficient for me to feel Gods love and the rightness of this Gospel.

How I live my faith

I love going to church and participating in the different classes that are there. I currently do not have a specific position assigned to me in my ward as I am leaving soon for my mission. However, I frequently find myself being called upon to help others with their positions as needed. Whether it be playing the piano, leading music, helping with technology, or even reading a scripture or quote in class. My favorite participation that I have been doing, is that I serve two shifts a week at the local temple helping those who come in, to feel peace and love as they pray and search for answers from the Lord.
