Hi I'm Cooper

I grew up in Utah. I love to play/watch ice Hockey. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have had a love of Hockey for as long as I can remember. My favorite team is the Anaheim Ducks. I also really love listening to music. I like many genres, such as: pop, rock, indie and much more. As I grew up through my youth years I attended Scouts and have earned the highest honor, Eagle Scout. I also love animals. Especially cats, they're pretty cool. My family is small, and that works for me. It's me, my mom and dad, and my older sister. She and I are great friends and I am grateful for this. And I have a great sense of humor.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a devoted Mormon because of the peace and comfort it gives me to know that my Heavenly Father and the Savior, Jesus Christ, are there for me whenever I need strength. I've grown up being LDS since birth, however, my family wasn't always very active. Around the time I was 10 or so, my mother, my sister and I began attending church more regularly. I left for my mission a little later than expected. There was a time when I didn't plan on it and felt like my life would be so much better if I just did what I wanted to do instead of what I should do. As I got older through my teen years, I really started to find myself spiritually and figure out where I was and where I wanted to be. I finally, at the age of 20, decided that I really wanted to show my love for the Lord and serve a mission. At that point, I was going because I wanted to go not because I was expected to go, and it was one of the best decisions in my life. One thing I will say is that life, even in the Church, isn't always easy. You will struggle, and you will fall short in things, and trials will come at you all the time; but because of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and his Atonement you can get through all hard times, and you will be blessed as you have faith and strive to do the things that are right. I know that this church is true, and that the prophets before our time, today, and forever are truly called of God. I know the scriptures, Book of Mormon and Bible, to be full of true principles. And I surely know that if we continue to have faith, and to love our Heavenly Father, and hold firmly to the Savior, the Son of God, our Redeemer, even Jesus Christ; our lives will be full of joy. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I always do my best to stay in harmony with the restored truths of the Church. I go to my ward meetings every Sunday. I try to attend the temple at least once a week, this because it allows me to refresh my spirit and to be closer to my Father in Heaven. In my day to day life (whether at work, or school, or just out and about) I try to be kind and loving towards those around me at all times. I pray every morning and night, and any other time I feel that I need help from the Lord. Before serving my mission, I had the privilege of teaching the children in primary and enjoyed it very much. I am now currently serving in the Colorado Denver South Mission. The greatest way to live my faith is by sharing my Testimony with everyone around me. I have truly found that studying, especially The Book of Mormon, can be very rewarding and it will only help us, as Children of God, to be stronger and in being closer to Him and to our Savior, Jesus Christ.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Cooper
The Atonement is a very special gift from Heavenly Father. He sent His son, Jesus Christ, so that we might have a chance to live with Him again. Everybody is going to sin, but Jesus sacrificed himself for our sins, that if we repent and live our lives as the Lord wants us to we can be in the kingdom of Heaven once again. Show more Show less
