Hi I'm Sara

I grew up in a once-secret city. I love science and learning new things, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the tiny mountain town of Los Alamos, New Mexico, home of the Manhattan Project and where the first atomic bomb was created. I really loved growing up surrounded by nature and also in a place where education, learning, and diversity were valued. I enjoy hiking, running, skiing, reading, cooking, singing, and exploring new places. I just finished my first year of college at Brigham Young University, where I am studying genetics. I hope to become a genetic counselor and help cure cancer and other diseases. I am passionate about helping others and I want to make a lasting difference in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel brings peace, hope, and joy. I am so thankful to know that I am a child of God and that I have a loving Heavenly Father who knows me and wants to help me here on earth and in the eternities. Being Mormon gives me direction and comfort and the ability to become my best self. I know that I am never alone, I know that I can be with my family forever, and I know that who I am and what I am doing matters and has eternal significance.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in my everyday conduct because it is a part of who I am. Being a Mormon means being a representative of Christ and treating others with love, kindness, and respect. I hope to bring light to everyone I come in contact with and help make their lives better. I am currently serving a mission in Pennsylvania; I look forward to dedicating the next 18 months of my life to help people come unto Christ and know they are loved and valued.
