Hi I'm Georgina Lloyd

I grew up in England but now live in America. I love music and horse riding. I'm currently studying for my degree!

About Me

I live in America but I am originally from England. I am currently a full time student at college, I am majoring in Political Science. I enjoy horse riding particularly show jumping; Ice Hockey and rugby. I am a first generation member of the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized in the summer of 2014. When I was 8 I was invited to a friends baptism. I attended and was prompted to attend church on several occasions afterward. Being only young I didn't understand the process as much and my parents chose to stop allowing me to attend. I remained friends with the member through school. When I was 16 I was invited to another friends baptism at the same church. I attended and felt overwhelmed by something, I didn't then understand it was the Holy Spirit. I began learning more about myself and the plan Heavenly Father has for me. I learnt about his church and his scriptures and once I received a testimony that the things I had been learning were true. I was baptized. I love the gospel. I love how it has changed my life. I love the friends and opportunities it has brought into my life and it makes me happy and excited to experience everything I can in life. I continue to follow the gospel because I have lived life without it and I have lived life with it, I can see the clear difference. My life has been blessed with so many things since I began to understand His teachings.

How I live my faith

I was previously a counsellor in Young Womens which is a a group of young women between he ages of 12-18. Along with two other women we would organize events and lessons for the girls. This taught me a lot about myself and the kind of example I want to be. I read my scriptures daily and listen to talks by senior members of the church. Applying the teachings of the gospel to my life really changed my life and the life on my none member family and that change really helped my faith develop.

What is the Relief Society?

Georgina Lloyd
The Relief Society is a women's organization. It is for women 18 years and older and was established in 1842. It is a place women can go to build faith and personal righteousness whilst also strengthening families and homes. A large part of it includes charity and helping those in needs. In my wards' Relief Society we often make packages up for homeless people or help organize things for food banks and shelters. Show more Show less
