Hi I'm Parker

I'm an average High School graduate. I'm a basketball state champion. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised as a Mormon. I have lived my entire life in Montana. I love spending my free time playing basketball, hanging out with friends and family, and spending time outdoors. I just graduated from high school. I plan to attend college, but I will first spend two years serving the Lord by going on a mission. I hope to get a degree in engineering and start a family of my own once I return.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised as a member of this church my entire life. When I was younger I just went because my parents went and it was expected that I would go as well. As I have grown older though it has become my decision whether I would continue to attend and live according to the things I had been taught. As this decision came before me I decided that I needed to be more certain if it was worth my time to continue to attend this church. So I read The Book of Mormon and prayed unto God more sincerely. As I continued on in this I started to more fully realize the joy that this gospel brings to me. I saw the wonderful plan that God has created for us to return to live with him and the hope that his promises give. My desire to go to church, to learn and grow, and to come closer to Christ grew. As these things grew I new that is church was true, and that it was the right thing to do.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a better person. I am always striving to be better than I currently am. I am trying to be more loving and kind to all the people I interact with. I try to look for opportunities to serve others, no matter whether they are small, simple acts or larger acts. I strive to be someone that others know they can count on and trust to do good and help them in their lives.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

We believe that we all need God's grace. We believe that we can be saved because of grace. Christ has paid for the price of our sins, but since he has paid that price he wants us to come unto him. He wants us to do the best we can, to come unto him and repent and to strive to become more like him. Through his grace we can be given strength to overcome our trials and difficult times. Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Mormon missionaries are trying to share the gospel that they know is true. This gospel brings much joy, happiness, direction and hope into their lives that they want to share it with others. They want others to experience the joy that they have experienced because of this gospel. They want to share their greatest joy with others. Show more Show less
