Hi I'm Cynthia

I'm from a little town in New Mexico. I love my family and I love the gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a small town girl from New Mexico. I've always been the 'teacher's pet' kind of kid. I was even salutatorian of my graduating class. In high school I did marching and concert band all four years and cheer leading for a few months. I still play the clarinet every chance I get, though since I started college it's been harder to find the time. After high school, I attended New Mexico State University for a year, studying chemistry. I love reading, writing, camping, hiking, and talking.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but it wasn't until I was 14 and in a Sunday school class that it all clicked for me. I just knew that it was true, all of it. And it has given me tremendous hope. I have had some friends who are atheists, and curious of how they understand the world, I talk to them and what they say confuses me and reinforces the simplicity of the gospel. And no matter what anyone says, I am a Mormon because I know it to be true with all of my heart.

How I live my faith

For a few years now, I have been getting especially active in community groups, specifically Civil Air Patrol. The diversity of faith really allows me to be an example to others, and Civil Air Patrol itseslf is big on community service and search and rescue. It really gives me the chance to help others, which I think is one of the best ways to live my faith.
