Hi I'm Jillyn Brereton

I am from Provo, Utah. Im a Mormon.

About Me

I am the only girl in my family with 4 brothers. I got my Associate in Science before I graduated highschool. I attended Utah Valley University for 2 semesters after completing that degree to finish the nursing pre-reqs. I am recieved my mission call to Riveside, California and I report to the Provo MTC in October.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ is the only church that has the fullness of the restored gospel. I am know that as I follow Jesus Christ, in faith, I am blessed and can truely be happy. Trials come easily but they are ways that we can grow and become better people. I love my family and the truth that we can be together for eternity is beyond any blessing I could think of. I love this church and will soon dedicate 18 months of my life to helping others come unto Christ by teaching them the restored gospel.

How I live my faith

I am soon going to be a missionary so I will be sharing my beliefs with many others. I am working with the kids in primary right now too.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Jillyn Brereton
Mormons perform proxy baptisms in temples because we believe in order for an individual to enter the Kingdom of God they must be baptized. A worthy member is baptized by someone holding the priesthood authority of God in place of the person who has died. The person who has died then has the opportunity to accept the baptism.
