Hi I'm Braeden

I'm a native Texan, I've played soccer all my life, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from high school and I'm going to serve a mission in the Mexico Mexico City West Mission. I was born and raised in Texas, and I've played soccer since I was 4. When I return from my mission I plan to go to BYU, then on to medical school and eventually become an orthopedic surgeon.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be Mormon simply because it makes me happy. Every time I go to church or read the scriptures or participate in any act that I know He approves of, I can feel the spirit and there's no other feeling I'd rather have. A lot of the time it's really hard to be a member of this church because of the standards of the world and the temptations that surround me, but because of past experiences I know that when I obey the Lord with exactness, that blessings will come and I will live a happier life. I personally know that regularly communicating with Heavenly Father and reading the Book of Mormon have strengthened my testimony and help me to look on the bright side of life.

How I live my faith

In my ward I've taught the adult sunday school class for the past couple of months to try and prepare to teach as I will on my mission. As I've done this I've learned more about the Book of Mormon and how to teach others and convey my thoughts and feelings more effectively. My family used to go and help make lunches for kids who didn't have much every Monday morning, and my mom and I recently helped to run a back to school drive with leaders within churches of other faiths. We try to go out and serve as much as we can together.
