Hi I'm Nathaniel

I go to school at BYU, studying Mechanical Engineering. I'm currently taking a break from school to serve a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born right outside of Washington DC, but I spent most of my life growing up in Wichita, KS. My family moved to Idaho Falls a few years ago, but I'm currently serving a mission in Ventura, Californa (Speaking English). Before my mission I finished my freshman year at BYU, and I loved every minute of it. I'm excited to see all my friends there once I'm back from my mission, but for now I'm more than happy to be serving the Lord. I love to run, it's such a good stress reliever. Long distance running is fun (I have a goal to run marathons once I'm back home) but on a competition level I run mid-distance. I also love music. I listen to just about everything except for country, and I play the piano, the cello, and the ukulele. I love to improvise on the piano (Jazz is fun), and I have recently gotten into writing EDM music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the LDS church. Both my parents were too, and they have done a fantastic job raising me and my younger siblings in the gospel. I have grown up my entire life having a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon, and a good knowledge of the commandments. Never have I doubted the truthfulness of the Mormon religion, and yet I have still had points in my life where I have struggled. Deciding to go on a mission gave me an opportunity to set goals that would help me get rid of the sins in my life and help me understand what Christ's purpose is for me. Now that I'm dedicating all my time and effort to the Lord, I can truly testify that this Church is true, and God want's each and every one of his children to feel his love for them. I'm so glad that I can help bring that love and understanding to the world.

How I live my faith

Up to this point I've lived my faith by being an example to those around me. I am the oldest of 6 children, so setting a good example for my younger siblings by living the gospel and choosing to serve a mission has helped them grow spiritually. I also set an example for what people of our faith act like when I'm around my peers every day. I keep my standards high, and encourage others to act in a similar way. I am always more than willing to answer questions about my church, and now that I am on a mission I can put these skills to work. I love my Heavenly Father, and I have found so much joy in this wonderful opportunity I have been given to serve the Lord for two years.
