Hi I'm Jaycie

I am a newly wed. I am in nursing school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have divorced out of a five year marriage which was full of abuse and ended due to an unfaithful husband. During the marriage I experienced four years of infertility. After the divorce I wasn't sure I deserved happiness. But I was wrong! I am newly remarried to an amazingly sweet man. Now I am going to nursing school and thoroughly enjoying life as a newly wed! I am so blessed to have my husband for eternity!

Why I am a Mormon

When I went through my divorce after years of abuse, infertility, and my ex husbands affair, I was left feeling broken and defeated. I visited family in Arizona.  Speaking to a cousin who had also been divorced, I told her how I felt I was doing and that I sort of felt "numb" sometimes.  I didn't know if it was bad to feel that way despite all that had happened.  She turned to me and said, "Jaycie, that is the Atonement you are feeling.  Being numb is because right now Jesus is carrying you." She went on to warn me to stay righteous because messing up would take away that numbness leaving me to carry the burden and feel all the pain and sorrow on my own.  My cousin was referring to Jesus Christ's Atonement.  We need never feel alone because our Savior, Jesus Christ knows what we are going through. When you feel that no one on this earth could possibly understand exactly how you feel, Christ can understand. And through the Atonement, you will find peace. I relied heavily on my faith as a Mormon and I have experienced the sweetest tender mercies because of that! Now I am blessed to have my amazing husband by my side, and I get to keep him for eternity. I love President Uchtdorf's talk, "Your Happily Ever After" because it is true. Enduring trials with faith will bring you happiness and joy. I love this gospel and I love my Heavenly Father who has a better and more beautiful plan for me than I could possibly imagine or comprehend myself! I am a Mormon because this earthly life we have now is but a blink of an eye to our Eternal life that we can enjoy forever!

How I live my faith

I try to live each day to serve those around me. I feel that when I am serving others, I truly am blessed. Each night as I kneel and pray I ask for humility in my heart so that I can recognize service and growth opportunities. By serving others, you can be a tool in our Heavenly Fathers hands and an example of Christ like love.
