Hi I'm Brooklyn Kate Drecksel

Take the chances you have in life to be admired by those around you. They come more often than you think

About Me

Three words that define me are hard working, athletic, and headstrong. I strive to be the best of the best and am always looking for ways to improve my potential. I love to play sports. Volleyball, tennis, track, and soccer are my main sports, but I am always up for a new adventure. When I'm not playing sports, I try to stay fit by going to the gym. I have the opportunity to wake up in the beautiful state of Colorful Colorado where I'm surrounded by tall snowy mountains and colorful skies. In this day and age, I believe that life should be filled with tears of laughter and dreams. When we approach a mountain we are given the equipment to climb, but we have to get ourselves to the top.

Why I am a Mormon

Being baptized in the church just like the rest of my family was a norm, but fulfilling my duties as a Mormon is my choice. I am Mormon because I know that there is something greater out there for me and although most think our way of life is unnecessary and weird, I truly know that by living this way I have kept myself healthy both physically and mentally. The art of the church and its standards keeps our community beautiful. Being modest in dress, language, relationships, and everything in between is very important to me and has helped me to stay happy. By being Mormon I am always challenging myself and continue to think about possibilities and blessings the Lord has in store for me.

How I live my faith

Being in a ward with five other young women I try to be a leader and an example to others. I love to teach and serve with the missionaries and am excited to serve my own mission. Although I grew up in the church I consider myself a convert. I am human just like everyone else and faced challenges of my own, however, I learned that through experience we are able to become better versions of ourselves to one day be like our Heavenly Father. I love to share my story with others and hope to inspire them in the right direction. I have faith that everything happens for a reason and we are all sent here for a purpose all that matters is how we put ourselves to use on this Earth.
