Hi I'm Brent

I love tennis, golf and the Internet, but most of all, being a husband, father of 4, and grandfather of 8. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am first and foremost a husband, a father, and most joyfully, a grandfather. My wife Trish and I have four wonderful children and eight amazing and beautiful grandchildren. For me, family is life's greatest priority and blessing. I have been an entrepreneur all of my adult life and have owned and operated a number of small businesses throughout my 40-year career. I currently own a company that builds, manages, markets and operates online niche eCommerce stores. I love the power and potential of the Internet; it has changed our lives in so many ways. I'm also an avid tennis player and have played in several United States Tennis Association (USTA) sectional and national tournaments. Tennis is a "life" sport and I'm happy to say that I'm playing the sport now (almost) as well as I did 35 years ago when I was in my 20s.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints first and foremost because I know it is true. I grew up in an LDS family and like the prophet Nephi from the Book of Mormon, I, too was "born of goodly parents". That is something for which I will forever be grateful. I also come from "pioneer stock", having had great-great grandparents who joined the Church back east and made the difficult, but faith-building trek westward to settle with their families in Utah. So, I suppose that's why I "am" a Mormon. But I've still had to decide for myself what is true and I "remain" a Mormon because I have received my own personal witness that it is, indeed, the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. On a daily basis it blesses my life in so many ways. It helps me be a better person, it keeps me grounded, and it reminds me who I am: The son of a living God who loves me more than I can comprehend. I find great peace in the direction the gospel of Jesus Christ gives me, trying each and every day to find ways to be a better person. I know that my progress in life is just that ... a work in progress, but knowing and embracing the atonement of Jesus Christ allows me to learn and grow and keep moving forward.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying, each day, to be more Christ-like. I hope that is reflected in how I live and in how I treat others. I try to do the things that will demonstrate to my Heavenly Father that I love Him and want to return to live with Him again someday. It is important to me is that I know who I am and live accordingly. I live a good, moral life and have unwavering faith in the Savior. I live my faith by following the admonition of the Apostle Paul when he said to be kind one to another, tenderhearted, and forgiving. During 2017 and part of 2018, my wife and I will be serving a mission for the Mormon church in southeast Australia. It will be a joy to share the gospel with others and invite them to "come unto Christ" by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in the Savior and His Atonement.
