Hi I'm Bailey B. Smith

I speak German, I like to beatbox, I love my family, I love this Gospel, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First off, I love my Father in Heaven, that's the most important. I grew up in Utah and am so proud of being from there. My hobbies have to do with anything and everything outdoors, my favorite probably being hiking. I love to climb as high as I can so I can see as much of this beautiful world our Father has created for us. But besides that I love movies, video games, beatboxing (which for a year now I have been doing but Im still terrible at it.) hanging out with my family of 3 other siblings and my Father and Mother, and I love to go to the gym with my father and my friends. When I get home from my mission I will be going to BYU-Provo to get an education in many different languages, such as German, Danish, Swedish. And my end goal is to be Sealed and Married inside the Temple for time and all Eternity to a beautiful Daughter of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a 4th generation Mormon, and have been from my youth up. I may have been born into the church but that doesn't exempt me from being converted to this gospel. I gained my firm and powerful testimony of this church around the age of 12 when we had a bishops youth night and the bishop had the missionaries talk to everybody about patriarchal blessings, which really intrigued me. Then that coming Sunday a new stake patriarch was announced and he just happened to be in my ward. So I knew it was a sign from God I needed to receive it. I marched right up and set everything up and a few weeks later I had it and I felt the spirit so strongly I'll never forget it. From then on out I knew this was true and knew that this was the true church of Jesus Christ. And my testimony grows every day and being on a mission has helped me to increase it beyond a capacity that I thought it would never reach. Sharing the gospel is my new favorite thing to do.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is by proudly declaring it to anyone that asks. I will forever dare to be a Mormon and how I've chosen to express my religion at this time is by surging a full time Mission for two years. I've been called to serve in the Missouri Independence mission and I am so excited to serve in the land that Zion is foretold to be. I love talking to others about religion and doing my best to find a commonality and love for all of my brothers and sisters. The love of the Savior Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven should be showed to everyone and that is what do.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Bailey B. Smith
It's necessary for Authority to be used when baptizing because if you don't have the authority to do so and you do it it becomes invalid because you didn't have permission or a permit of sorts to do it so it would be unofficial and not properly done. Think of it like this. You're driving down the highway and an ice cream man is driving behind you and he puts on a little blinker thing in an attempt to be like a policeman and tells at you to pull over. Will you listen to him? I wouldn't. If it was an actual police officer in an actual designated police vehicle I would then pull over. It's the same way with baptism. God has to give his authority to others and delegate them for the task. That is what was done with John the Baptist. He himself was specifically set apart to do that, he had the authority to do it. No one else save it be Jesus Christ at the time had that authority. We as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints know that this is Jesus Christ's true church once again restored back to this earth. The authority was once lost but it has been restored by Heavenly Father once again to this earth by a Prophet named Joseph smith and we have the priesthood authority of God here again on this earth. And you can know by reading the Book of Mormon, then if you know it to be true then Joseph smith is a true prophet and everything else is true, simple as that. Read and pray with a sincere desire to know. Show more Show less
