Hi I'm Lorena Burton

I grew up in a little town call Milford in Pennsylvania. I am a Mormon

About Me

My name is Lorena. I am 23 years old and currently a nanny. I like teaching children and enjoy caring for them. I went to college for child development, my original plan was to teach grades kindergarten through 3rd grade. Another one of my interests is fashion and enjoy cutting hair. I hope to pursue a cosmetology license so I can keep doing what I love. On November 2, 2016 I will be leaving to serve an 18 month Spanish speaking mission in Utah. I am very excited because Spanish is my first language and it makes feel a lot more connected with my culture.

Why I am a Mormon

Truthfully, when I first started going to church it was not by choice. But, as I grew up and learned more about our Heavenly Father I knew that this is where my heart is. I am a Mormon because I know this is the true church. I am a child of God and he loves me. I have truly never been as happy as I am when I'm in church. When I was at my lowest, I turned to church, a place that I knew I will never get rejected from. God saved my life, by putting people in my path that has faith in not only me but God. This, is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. I had a wonderful calling in the primary for 4 years. I really enjoy serving others and volunteering in the community. I used to go to animal shelters and serve the elderly. My faith grew by helping those who are in need and keeps growing each and every day as my mission date gets closer.
