Hi I'm Tom Turner

I was born in Kansas and moved to Utah at the age of six. I am a Latter Day Saint (some people call us Mormons) .

About Me

I was born in Kansas and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of six. We were not members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I grew up there and had many friends were were LDS but never had much interest in joining. I did join later on in life. I am happily married to a wonderful girl. I love sports and family and life! We have 8 kids and 25 grandkids, did I mention that I love family?

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony of Jesus Christ as our Savior and I believe that by following His teachings we can live with Him once again.

How I live my faith

I work with the men's group as an assistant to the group leader. We organize the men into groups who watch over three or four families. We visit them once a month and teach a short gospel lesson and to look after their needs. We report any needs to our Ward Bishop (like a pastor). We also have a gospel lesson each Sunday. My wife and I read from the scriptures each evening and from our church magazine, The Ensign, each morning. We also have morning and evening prayers together. I try to be a good example to my friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
