Hi I'm Eliza Richard

I am an Australian living in the Middle East for the past four years. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 16 years old. I am attending an American International School in Oman, I have friends from and that are living in countries across the world. Although I am really enjoying my time living throughout the Middle East, I call Australia home. I enjoy playing competitive sports. I enjoy taking pictures and drawing. I love visiting the church's temples around the world and always feeling the same spirit inside each one. I am one of seven children in my family, the support and encouragement my family give me helps me to be happy, grateful and strong in my faith. Following my two older siblings example, I plan to serve a full time mission after I graduate High School.

Why I am a Mormon

Happiness is truly the key for me and is the easiest explanation as to why I am a Mormon. I feel that the gospel all fits together and makes sense to me. And when I have questions I am confident to ask others for help. Being a Mormon ensures me that I can be with my family forever, and I can have an eternal marriage. Both of which are very important to me. I know my Heavenly Father loves me and I am forever grateful for Him and His son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

From when I was 12 to 15 I was living in Saudi Arabia where it got quite hard to stay strong in my faith. We knew keeping the laws of the land was important to Heavenly Father as well as us. Now living in Oman I have become so much more grateful for the little things. Being the only young woman in my branch has helped me to rely more on the Lord and his teachings. Living my faith at school can be hard considering all the other religions and cultures other people have been raised in. I try to be an example and carry the light of Jesus Christ.
