Hi I'm Cole

I grew up in Arizona, Ohio, Georgia, and Utah. I love playing sports. I love music. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I played sports in high school, I played football in high school. I played basketball for a city league with some buddies. I love being active and playing sports. I love the outdoors, mountain biking, rock climbing, snow skiing, snowboarding, boating, hiking, and almost anything else outdoors. I just graduated in May of 2016. I am headed out on a mission to Chile very soon, and am excited to serve. I have been an organist in my ward for the last few years, and have enjoyed that. I love music and art, I have done a good amount of painting and drawing in my life. I am an Eagle Scout, I earned it when I was about 15. I have moved 5 different times, I was born in Arizona, moved to Utah, then Ohio, then Georgia, then Ohio, and finally back to Utah where I am living now. I am going to attend Utah State University after my mission, and hope to study something in science so I can become an orthodontist some day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. As I was growing up I always believed it was true, even if I had some doubts as I got older. Because I had doubts, I wanted to find out for myself if the church was true. I found out for my self by praying to my Heavenly Father, then doing my best to live his commandments. My testimony isn't based on one key spiritual experience, I have gained my knowledge of the truthfulness of the gospel through lots of small day to day experiences with the Holy Ghost. When I am doing my best to live the gospel, that is when I am the most happy. I know that God wants us to be happy, so he gave us his gospel to help us be happy, I honestly believe that because I live it. That is why I am serving a mission and continue to live the gospel. It makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I am an Elder in the church, and have taught a lesson in my Elder's group, and attend service projects and activities when I can. I was a ward organist in my ward for a few years before my mission. I am headed out on a mission to Chile soon, and I'm excited to serve. I was part of my ward's Youth Family History committee, which helped get the youth in my ward involved in doing geneological research through visits in their homes and other activities. I was an assistant 11 year old scout leader, so I attended activities and helped boys pass of requirements to advance in scouting.
