Hi I'm Brett

I grew up in Paradise California. I love sports. I love science. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up in a wonderful family. I love them with all my heart, and they mean the world to me. My favorite thing to do is to spend time with them. I also have a love of playing sports. I love to play soccer, and i also enjoyed running track in high school. I love learning, and i aspire to be a medical doctor. I also love to travel, meet new people, and try to learn new languages.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because i have a firm testimony that it is the only true church upon the earth today. I have read the scriptures, and doing so provides me with peace and guidance in my life. After finishing the Book of Mormon, I took Moroni's promise in Moroni chapter 10, verses 4-5 which promises that if we ask with a sincere heart, through prayer in the name of Christ, God will reveal the truth of it unto us through the power of the Holy Ghost. I have received this testimony from the Holy Ghost, and know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and by the power of God he translated the Book of Mormon. I have deep gratitude for Jesus Christ, and his atoning sacrifice. I know that because of his love for each and every one of us, and the plan that God established, that we can repent of our sins and feel the stain of them no more. I have experienced the peace and comfort that comes from sincere repentance, and i rely on Christ to make up what i can not do for myself.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving in my ward. One of the ways that i do this is by helping people move into the ward. It's a great experience because there is always work to do, and it gives new people a chance to make new friends right away. I also sometimes help elderly and those unable to do so with yard work. When we get a good group of people, the work becomes easy, and it can be a good time to spend together. Going home teaching, or entering the homes of members of the church is also a great experience where i like to get to know a few specific families in the ward and get to know them. As the relationship builds it's a great experience and feeling to be able to help them through any struggles they might have when they ask for help.
