Hi I'm Ally

I am from a tiny town in Idaho. I am about to serve a mission in Las Vegas. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated high school and am working at a old folks home right now, preparing to serve a mission. I love my job and the people I work with and serve. It is amazing to hear all of the wonderful stories the elderly generation has to offer. I am 6 feet tall so naturally I play all kinds of sports. My favorites are basketball, volleyball, and softball. In basketball I wasn't a post like everyone would think. I played out on the wing because I am a three point shooter. I was a middle blocker in volleyball and a first basemen in softball. I loved all three sports. I also love to sing. My mother and both my grandfathers are excellent singers.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. It is all I have ever known. Yet every day I get a confirmation from God that this church is true. I consider myself blessed to be born into this church. I know for a fact that God lives and that he loves each and every one of us. He wants us all to be able to live with him again. I love my Heavenly Father and I know he knows and loves me as well. Heavenly Father has pulled me out of the darkness time and time again and proven to me how much he loves me. I know that we have prophets to help guide this church. I love this gospel and I am very proud to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now I am preparing to serve a LDS Mission. That is sort of my calling in my ward. I will serve for 18 months. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I haven't even left yet and my mission is already changing my life. I have come so much closer to Christ as I study my scriptures and pray. There was a time where I didn't think that God knew who I was or what I needed. The very moment I, finally, let Christ into my life was the very moment I realized He was there, and He knew my name, and he loved me so very much. After that moment I knew that I could give 18 months of my life to him.
