Hi I'm Heidi Galster

I am 19 years old. I play rugby for BYU. I love to travel the country on my nc700x motorcycle. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from a small town in Illinois. I grew up very involved in high school and participated in lots of sports like soccer, basketball, and swim team. However I also did band, FFA, Math team, and many other extra curricular activities. I decided to attend Brigham Young University, and before I knew it had an amazing freshman year out there. I joined the womens rugby team and went all the way to nationals on the roster as number 23 (a second string flank). I also decided to take Arabic on a whim and it was the hardest class I've ever taken. I love food. I love dogs. I love being outside. I don't like cities. I love my motorcycle. I've been to 13 different states over the past year just touring the country. I plan to do large trips up in Canada and possibly touring Europe. It's a blast and something I hope to never give up. I decided to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and will be reporting to the Guatemala MTC on September 14, and then I'll be serving in Honduras Tegucigalpa mission for the remainder of the 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I've never found a religion that brings me as close to Christ as this one. I've prayed and struggled and asked my Heavenly Father sincerely if this was indeed Christ's church upon the earth. And the answer I got was a resounding yes. And every time I open up and read my scriptures that yes is confirmed to me. It's a yes every time I go to church. It's a yes every time I hear the prophet and apostles speak. It's yes every time I study church history. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet. I know Thomas S. Monson is a prophet today. I know that Jesus Christ lived. I know he died for my sins. I know that through him I can be resurrected and live with my family again for time and all eternity. I know that he loves me, as I know he loves all of His children. I know that as I try to be a servant to Him I will grow as a person and be able to love everyone around me. I have witnessed more blessings than I ever thought imaginable from participating in this gospel. I am thankful beyond words for the opportunity to be a member of this church. And I would testify that to anyone that asked me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily. I try to be a servant of Jesus Christ and treat others as He would. I attend church every Sunday, and read scriptures daily. It is important to me that others know of my beliefs. I am a true believer of actions speaking louder than words, so I make it my goal to be kind to others, and to respect everyone around me. In doing so I've found there are many opportunities to share my faith in words as well as deeds. Soon I will be a missionary and will be a full time servant of the Lord, sharing His word with everyone around me.
