Hi I'm Madi

I grew up in the potato state. I love the outdoors. I will be serving a mission in Boston, Massachusetts. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 22 year old potato state gal. I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Boise, Idaho. I love being outdoors hiking, camping, and backpacking. I love this beautiful world we call Earth. I will be a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Massachusetts Boston Mission. I report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on November 2, 2016. I will serve for 18 months, and I couldn't be more excited and humbled.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS church) my whole life, and I am so very grateful for that blessing. I, like many others who have been raised in this gospel, took the LDS church for granted. After many trials, I left the church. I didn't officially leave, but my heart and mind were not in the gospel anymore. I stopped paying attention in church, I stopped reading my scriptures, and I stopped praying. In short, I lost my faith. After four years of wandering aimlessly, I got the wake up call I needed. I straightened out my life and got back on track. I then started to slowly gain my testimony of God and Christ again. It has now been one year since I started going back to church and that has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. This gospel has brought me true joy. I remember why I am on this earth, I have a new found purpose. Jesus Christ atoned for our sins, mistakes, and sorrows so that we may know joy and peace. Christ atoned so that we may return to our Heavenly Father once again. Since I have returned to the church, I have felt Heavenly Father's overwhelming love for me personally. I testify to you with all my heart, might, mind, and strength, that our Heavenly Father loves us perfectly. He knows us perfectly. Our Father in Heaven knows exactly what we need to become who He wants us to become. We may think that a certain life event is too hard for us to handle, but that life event is what we need to become like our Heavenly Father. Our Father in Heaven loves us more than we can comprehend. He loves us enough to hurt us.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday; there I go to three meetings to learn about our Heavenly Father's plan for us and how we can improve ourselves each and every day. We also learn about Jesus Christ's, our older Brother, sacrifice-the Atonement. Also at church, I help teach a group of 5 year olds the gospel principles. Those children teach me so much. They help me become more loving, kind, and aware of others' needs.
