Hi I'm Dennis

I grew up in Stone, Idaho went to school in Stone and Malad grew up on a farm and milked cows by hand I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have lived on a farm all my life. We really enjoyed hunting and fishing as I grew up. I played football and wrestled. I have worked in scouting most my life have had two young men join the church because of the scouting program. In the church I have served in elders quorum president, young men president, 11 year old scout leader and taught 11 year old primary class, served on High council served as Bishop and as a young man I served in Kentucky on a Mission. I am a father to 5 children and love them so much. I was married in the temple to the love of my life 35 years ago. Have worked on District and Council scouting positions. I know the church is true and love helping where I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, The Mormon's, but I had to gain my own testimony of the truthfulness of the church. I want to share a story that means a lot to me. I had just got home from my mission when my younger brother was killed in a car accident. It was hard. One of the things we believe in our church is that we can be together as families after we die. We go to the temple and are sealed together for eternity as well as make and keep sacred covenants with our Heavenly Father. We believe that anyone who does not get to do this in life can have their work done after they are dead. Four years after his death, after I was married, I felt my brother start to bug me to have his temple work done. I knew he wanted it done so we went to the temple. I know he had work to do and he finished getting prepared so he could do it. I love him and my family so much. I want so much to be a eternal family, it will be great. Family is what the church is all about. We have a loving Father in Heaven. We are his children. My savior, who is Heavenly Father's Son, Jesus Christ has taught that principle all my life. There will always be challenges in our lives but we need to step up and do what's right. God loves us all and will be there for us at all times and when trying times come he will help us. I'm thankful for his church and what it means in my life. I know it's true and I have a great belief in the blessings that can be ours if we will follow his teachings

How I live my faith

I have been a scout leader for over 30 years, which is a very special job to work with the youth. We have done a lot of service projects such as cutting fire wood for those who heat with wood. Painted a house for an sister in our ward. I have helped with many Eagle projects. I am a home teacher to three homes and love them so much. I have found that service is the best way to make friends. The Church is a large part of my life, missing church meetings has never been a option for me. My mom and dad taught me very young that church is where I needed to be. I try always to set a good example with who ever I work with. I know I'm not perfect but want to do my best. The church is true and I love my savior Jesus Christ.
