Hi I'm Ckazlaine Defuntaron

I grew up in the Philippines. I love God, His church and my family. I am proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

My whole family are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was baptized when I was 8. The youngest among three siblings. A graduate of BS Industrial and Organizational Psychology. I love dancing and training my dog.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel played an important role in me and my family's life, causing a great impact for us to strive to be better persons and to be like unto our Savior, Jesus Christ. I now come to comprehend that in spite of different levels of problems we are facing, we need a Savior that through Him we can triumph in all things. A hope for everything through faith in Jesus Christ and in his great atoning sacrifice. By on our faith and in His restored gospel, anyone can change. Miracles are possible. He hears and answers our prayers. We also believe in the Holy bible and the Book of Mormon, that the Book of Mormon is not about Mormon but it centers in Jesus Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ it contains the fullness of the gospel. It is not contrary to the Bible but in fact helps us to deepen our understanding of the Old and New Testament and His Divinity more. I knew it for myself after reading it. I also know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church. That God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He loves us so much so he called His Living Prophet and twelve apostles today. I also know that Prophet Joseph Smith is the prophet of restoration. He was called by God to establish the Lord's church again. I know whom God calls, he qualifies for he knows us all perfectly. I also know that Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost exist, they are true and I love them.

How I live my faith

Before when I was a young woman, I served as a second counselor of the Laurel Class. A class composed of youngwomen ages 16-17. I was also called as a Sunday school teacher when I was 19. I too perform visiting teachings with my co-members, in which we share short spiritual messages to the members of the church in their respective houses, or elsewhere that's comfortable and wherein the holy spirit can abide us. These were some purposes when conducting a visiting teaching, first is to help them strengthen their faith unto Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Second, to check how they're doing. Third, to provide comfort, extend our love, God's love and to provide encouragement for them as well. Today, I am already 21 years old and currently serving as a ward missionary. I work part-time with the full-time missionary, preparing myself for my own mission. For I was called to serve as a full-time missionary and was assigned to labor in the Philippines Cagayan de Oro Mission (PCDOM), this October 2016-April 2018. I know I am really for PCDOM as inspired by the Holy Spirit. Serving the Lord and being a part of his marvelous work was my personal choice and desire as I felt God's love, his tender mercies, and on how his hands worked in my life and touched my heart. Letting me feel loved, blessed, attain peace, forgiveness, joy, hope and happiness here on earth in spite all trials and oppositions. I want others to feel what I felt in living His gospel by inviting and helping them to come closer unto Christ even if it means temporarily leaving my family for a period of 18 months in order for others to be with their families for eternity.
