Hi I'm Cameron Tippetts

I was born in Mesa, Arizona. I love playing basketball and volleyball. I'm a big fan and proud student of BYU. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Cameron Tippetts. I am the youngest of two brothers and one sister. In high school I played basketball and volleyball. Some of the most memorable and fun times came from the experiences I had playing those sports. Student council was a big part of my high school career as well. My senior year, I was Student Body President of my high school and I enjoyed the opportunities and experiences gained in that position. I was accepted into BYU and got to enjoy a summer term there, before heading out on my mission. I was called to serve in the Fort Collins, Colorado mission and I will be speaking Spanish. I have a Spanish speaking grandmother who grew up in the area that my mission covers, so this call is very special to me. I am so excited to serve and share this wonderful gospel with the people of Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to the church, but that is not the reason that I love to say that I'm a mormon. All my life, I have grown up learning and knowing that the church is good and right, but not until recent years have I come to know with as-surety, the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is the true church of God here on earth. I am so blessed to be a part of it because of how it affects my life every day. I have the knowledge of the truth and the desire to be good. However, because I am human I still make mistakes. And the most amazing thing about this Gospel is the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Not only can I be forgiven of my sins, but I also have somebody who knows with exactness of what I am going through and is with me every step of the way. My love for my savior Jesus Christ is immense. He will never give up on me, and I strive to do the same for Him. The ways that Jesus Christ has helped me, is the reason I want to serve a mission and share my experience and the knowledge I have with others that need His help. He can help you through, help you to overcome anything. That statement brings so much peace to my heart. I know that thought Christ, I can be perfected and eventually return to live with my father in heaven. The gospel is a beautiful thing that the entire world needs. I love it with all my heart. And I say that in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith as much as I can throughout daily life. I have had opportunity to serve on quorum presidencies as well as be a home teacher in my most recent years. I've realized that once you become fully converted to the gospel and love it with all your heart, magnifying callings comes naturally. You use that knowledge and love from your testimony to serve with your whole heart. I strive to be like Christ, the ultimate example, every day. I hope that my humility and dedication to the church throughout my life, will be adequate enough to show my love for my Heavenly Father.
