Hi I'm Ashley

I grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. I am going to school to become a doctor. I'm a mormon!

About Me

I am a college student studying biochemistry so that I can become a doctor. I enjoy reading about science and discussing scientific topics with people who have more knowledge than I do, it makes the learning process more rapid. I am getting ready to go on a mission for the LDS Church to bring people to this gospel which has given me love and happiness. My dad's family is from Chile (Viña del Mar area). I LOVE speaking Spanish and I love Chile so much!! My parents have been divorced so there is a lot of heartbreak that I have gone through because of that but I know it has made me stronger.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church because my parents are both members. During high school I continued going to church and participating in activities in the church however, I was not as passionate about the teachings as I am now. As I left for college and lived on my own I was put into situations where I really needed help and emotional support. Relying on the Gospel of Jesus Christ gave me the perfect answers to what I needed to do in my life and the most pure joy that I have ever experienced. There is nothing like feeling God's love. This gospel has kept me hopeful through thick and thin, I have found what true happiness feels like and my desire to continue practicing the gospel increases with everyday that goes by.

How I live my faith

I have been a member for my whole life so I have taken lots of responsibilities in the past; organizing dances for youth, doing community service with people my age, teaching Sunday school lessons on gospel principles and how to live according to our beliefs.
