Hi I'm Jeffrey Hansen

I grew up in Utah, and I love gardening, playing the piano, reading, and camping. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors. Growing up, my parents, five siblings, and I went camping every year. We also spent lots of time in the nearby canyons hiking and playing games. I grew up gardening, and for as long as I can remember, harvesting our garden was the highlight of my year. I really enjoy playing the piano, listening to classical music, and reading. Right now, I am preparing to serve my mission in Poland. I'm excited (but also quite nervous) to leave the country and serve the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that God loves all of us. He has blessed me with a testimony of the gospel, and it is my responsibility to share it with others. As a missionary, I will have to leave my family and home, but I am willing and ready to do just this because I love the Lord. He has given me everything, and I'm grateful for this opportunity to show my gratitude. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church, and that it is led by a modern-day prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I'm thankful to have the Book of Mormon in my life and for the guidance that it brings to me. I know that Joseph Smith translated this book. It truly is another testament of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful to know that Christ lives and loves every one of us. I have come to know of this through this church. That is why I am a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to serve others through callings in the church. For a few years I worked with the youth in our ward and helped them with their genealogy. That was a great opportunity for me to work on my own family history as well, and it allowed me to grow close to my ancestors. I also had another opportunity to work with the youth when I was asked to help plan our pioneer trek. This was yet another chance for me to learn to love my ancestors. Now, I am preparing to serve the Lord as a missionary.
