Hi I'm Elder Christopher King

A Convert to The Church in 2016 This Church has Changed My Life

About Me

My Name is Christopher Martin King, I was Born on 28th June 1997 in Dublin Ireland. Raised By a Foster Family in Dun Laoighaire until 2005 and was then Transferred to another Family in Palmerston. I have lived in Palmerston with the fowling family since then. I Became a member of the church on 28th May 2016, and continued to spiritually grow. I received the Aaronic Priesthood shortly after joining and was called as Gospel Principles Teacher and Ward Missionary. I later Received The Melchizedek Priesthood and Served a Mini-Mission of One Week in Mullingar. I was Then Called as Second Counselor of The Elders Quorum Presidency in The Clondalkin Ward and Class President of Institute for The Dublin Stake. I Currently Serve in The Quorum Presidency and as Ward Missionary

Why I am a Mormon

I truly believe that this is the Church that Jesus Christ established during His ministry on Earth. Many of the unanswered questions I had throughout my childhood or teenage years could not be answered directly by the churche I once belonged to. The biggest question was posed while I was still very young was, "Why do so many people die in my life, why do i have to suffer?" After meeting the Latter Day Saint Missionary in town, discussing at length their beliefs with the Missionaries from my local ward (as well as other members), and finally sincerely praying to God about it... I realized that the Lord Himself had at last directed me to His church. The best part I love about being a Mormon is that we in no way tear down other faiths at all. In fact, the church leadership supports and encourages understanding and co-operation between our faith and those of other religions! Something I find truely refreashing in a world that these days seems to believe in the opposite.

How I live my faith

My faith is a key part of my everyday life, I represent the lord in everything i do. I am currently The Second Counselor in The Elders Quorum Presidency. I fulfill My sole Responsibilities and serve my ward and whomever else i encounter with the pure love of Christ. The scriptures are a huge part of my daily life and the study of them greatly help me and strengthen my testimony

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Elder Christopher King
A testimony is a spiritual witness given to someone by the Holy Ghost. The foundation of a Mormon’s testimony is the knowledge that Heavenly Father lives and loves us; that Jesus Christ lives, that He is the Son of God, and that He carried out the Atonement; that Joseph Smith is a prophet, which God called to restore Jesus Christ’s church to the earth; that we are led today by a living prophet; and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Savior’s Church restored on the earth today. I have a testimony of These things and Much more such as the power of Missionary work, Member-Missionary work and The Book of Mormon, if you are investigating the church and want to try have a testimony talk to the missionaries or bishop in your local ward.
