Hi I'm Marissa

I'm adopted into a white family. I love people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I love to sing! I love to be around people and socialize. I just graduated high school. I'm constantly wearing a smile! I love life and especially the Gospel. I am the only girl and baby of my family. My whole family is white but I am Latin. Some people think I'm just a white girl stuck in a Latina body.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the blessings! Ever since I can remember, my family has always seen me as a blessings because they searched for me for years, and when they finally found me, one of my brother's (he was 3) said he knew me in heaven and promised that he would find me. I've always felt like there had to have been a divine hand in my life because my family is the best thing that's ever happened to me! The Gospel has such an importance on the Family that it makes me happy to know I can live with them for all eternity! I also feel like the Gospel gives me a better perspective on life and though there are trials, they ALWAYS have a purpose and I can ALWAYS find strength to get through it with the help of my Savior. The Gospel of Jesus Christ really is the reason I smile. Not only is the doctrine comforting, the people of the Church are so nice and loving. Each member cares for another and tries to help other's who may be struggling. Whenever I go to church, I always feel welcomed and loved! Church allows me to pursue opportunities I wouldn't have thought available before such as learning leadership skills or becoming friends with various people of different ages! But the main reason why I'm a Mormon is because of my Savior Jesus Christ! His Atonement and infinite love for each of us is UNFATHOMABLE! He loves all of us so much and only wants what's best for us. He knows each and every one of us. He suffered for each of our pains we have in this life so that He could understand and help us in times of need. He's there to help us return to our Father in Heaven and all we have to do is follow Him and His words! It's not easy at times, but the blessings are worth it!

How I live my faith

In my youth (12-17) I served in various callings in my women's group as a President and Counselor. I've also served on a committee for the youth in my local area.
