Hi I'm Tyson

I grew up in Provo, Utah. I am a full-time missionary and serving in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from high school and was accepted to attend Brigham Young University. Before I started college, I decided to serve a mission for two years and will be in the San Juan, Puerto Rico mission. I love to play tennis and was on my high school tennis team. I love to spend time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a been a Mormon my entire life. This means I have been attending church services every Sunday for the past 18 years. At first I did it because my parents took me, but eventually I had to decide whether I believed the teachings were true and correct. I have read and studied the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it is true. God answered my prayers and I know it is a book of scripture that teaches and testifies of Jesus Christ. I also believe the Bible is the word of God. I have studied the teachings and history of Joseph Smith and know that he was a prophet of God and helped restore Christ's church to the earth. I continue to be active in my faith and church because it brings me so much joy!

How I live my faith

I love to attend church and church activities with other youth my age. I have helped organize service projects and other fun activities. I attend church services every Sunday where I help prepare and administer the sacrament to members of the congregation. I also participate in classes to learn more about the gospel and study the scriptures. I've also been involved with my Boy Scout troop and earned my Eagle Scout award. For my project I organized a group of volunteers to make blankets for kids in need in Peru and then delivered them to orphanages and schools in Cusco, Peru. I love serving other people and learning more about Jesus Christ.
