Hi I'm Kay Lynn Wilkinson Johnson

I was born into the church. I have gained my own testimony through study, prayer and serving others.

About Me

I was born into a family of 5. I have 5 children of my own and 25 Grandchildren. I love my family and am so happy for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Knowledge I have that families are forever. I earned a degree in education 2nd grade for 3 years. I loved teaching but began a family and later returned to a career as manager of my families Retail store. I loved that career as it gave me the opportunity to be there for my children. They could always find me at a phone number, I could be home room mother, I could go on field trips, I could get off work for special events. It was great! It also provided me with travel to trade shows and vacation travel as a result of incentives. I have traveled much and taken my children on some awesome adventures. One being Egypt and Israel. I have served in many church callings. I have loved my service as a teacher in all women's organizations, president of Primary, Young Women and Relief Society.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. I am so grateful to those who came before me and recognized truth then made great sacrifices for the Gospel. I am a Mormon today because of personal Study, prayer, service and living the principals of the Gospel. The peace that comes from the Gospel is the Greatest of all blessings one can aspire to. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and the Savior of all who accept him and following his teachings. Life has not always been easy but I know that i have grown and developed strong character traits as a result of my challenges. I remember wanting to make my children obey and do what I thought was right. I also remember very clearly the day that I realized that I was following Satan's plan. That was an important day in my progression. I am more loving and forgiving and strive for Christ like love of all men. I desire to accept one where ever he is on the path of life and try to reach out and offer a helping hand to those who could use one.

How I live my faith

I love life and think that the love of life should reflect in my face. Why would anyone be interested in me and what I believe in if I am not happy and show it. "Man is that he might have Joy" I find joy in serving in all kinds of ways. I taught Red Cross swimming lessons in my younger years and was a Boy Scout merit badge counselor for Life Saving. I have taught in organizations for young children and find it very rewarding to captivate their interest. More challenging but highly rewarding is helping with girls camps and organizing youth conferences. One of my more recent experiences was serving in a Care Center organizing activities and lessons and making individual visits to Sisters that resided there. What fun that was as well as developing friendships with those who served with me. For over 30 years my husband and I have hosted neighborhood parties of all sorts. Christmas, Halloween, 4th of July, Spring Fall and what ever else you can think of. The objective is to invite everyone and get everyone to come and be neighborly. It starts with a flier on your door and an invitation to come enjoy! I love the Gospel and look for Fun ways to share it, the best is just being a genuine Friend.
