Hi I'm Matthew

I love sports and bein active. I enjoy listening and playing music. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I am 19 and i am currently serving in the New Zealand Auckland Mission. I like to do many things which include baking, Riding bikes, Listening to music, Learning instruments, And having fun with friends. I have been a member of the church for 10 years and i love it. I come from a family of 5 kids and i am the second youngest and the second to serve a mission. The one thing i love to do the most is take part in Track and field events. I have taken part in many events through out my life and it is my dream to go to the Olympics one day.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 9 I started to have the discussions with the missionaries and I decided that I wanted to get baptised. After I had been baptised I didn't really feel any different. I ended up going in active for about 3 years. Eventually I started to go back to church, I started make friends, enjoy what I was being taught, and take part in lessons. I grew to love the gospel more and more as time went on. At the age of 16 I was able to share my knowledge and understanding of the gospel with my new step dad. I had the chance to help the missionaries teach him about the gospel over a period of about 3 months. After this time my dad decided he was going to be baptised and I had the amazing privilege of being able to perform this amazing ordinance. After my dad was baptised I felt a great over whelming feeling inside. It was the spirit testifying to me that what I had done was the work of the Lord. I know with out a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-day Saints is the true chuck on the earth today. It is the way to be able to go back with our Heavenly Father and I am so grateful for him providing us with such an amazing opportunity. Without the gospel in our lives we would all be lost but because the Lord has provided his children with a plan, we are able to live with him again and be with our families for ever.

How I live my faith

My calling in the church is the Preist Quirum First Assistant. Every Sunday I attend my church meetings and always try to learn something new from them. Going to church is important to me as a person as it helps me to undermine what the Lord requires of me. It helps me to be a better person in my daily life by knowing the difybetween right and wrong. As a Member of the church who is preparing to serve a mission, I study my scriptures and say my daily prayers. From doing this I am able to feel the spirit it my life showing me the ways that I need to be living and giving me the strength I need to accomplish the tasks that's the Lord has given me. Also as a future missionary I am living my faith by sharing my knowledge of the gospel through teaching lessons on a Sunday at church.
