Hi I'm Dale

I'm an identical twin. I was a high school pole vaulter. I loved flying high so much I became a professional pilot. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of 5 great children, 4 girls and 1 son. My wife and I have been married for 43 years and are grandparents to 13 grandkids. I graduated from college and AFROTC and went to undergraduate flight school in Mesa Arizona. After flight school I was stationed at Grissom AFB, Indiana USA flying KC/EC-135 aircraft. It was a great and growing time for our young family. After nine years flying with the USAF I was hired by Delta Air Lines and have been blessed to visit many countries during my 25 years as an air line pilot. The one constant I found in my travels is that families are the same all over the world. Parents teach and love their children and spend time trying to help their children accomplish all that will make them successful in life. There is great joy and sometimes heartache that comes in raising a family. Having a wonderful wife and children has been a great blessing and responsibility. I looked forward to coming home to my wife and children after every trip!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or a more common used word; Mormon. I love the Christian teachings I was raised with. These teachings from Jesus have formed my own personal testimony that He truly was the prophecied redeemer and savior of the world and is the begotten son of God our Eternal Father. The understanding of these truths is what brings peace and happiness to my life. I have a true belief that when we follow Christ, we can live a life that will handle all the challenges that will come our way. I believe that The Book Of Mormon is another witness that Jesus is the Christ. It is a book of scripture that goes hand in hand with the Bible. The Apostle Paul wrote, "... In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established." (2 Corinthians 13:1). The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints was restored to the earth through a prophet of God. Today we continue to be led by a prophet of God. My invitation to each who reads this is that you bring all the good you have and find out for yourself if what I and others have said is true. I invite all to heed the words of Moroni, the last prophet to write in The Book Of Mormon when he wrote "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God,the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ ,if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost." (Moroni 10:4) May God be with you in your personal search for truth. I know what I have written is true.

How I live my faith

My faith is so very important to me because it is the very foundation upon which I live my life every day. Matthew records Jesus' answer to the question, "...which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said...Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind....And the second is like unto it , Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."(see St Matthew 22:35-40) When I serve my friends and neighbors with love in my heart, I am following the Saviors command. Love is the great attribute that will bring peace to a world mired in hate and conflict.
