Hi I'm Maddie

I am Canadian. I love to sing, play guitar. I like to work in my garden too. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music and art. Whether it be classical music or some indie tunes. I grew up singing and wanted to make it on Broadway, but I realized that it wasn't the lifestyle I was really looking for. I want to continue into post secondary education but I'm not sure yet what will be the best path for me. For now though, choosing to give up 18 months and serve a mission for this Church is were I need to be. I have been called to serve the people in the Italy Rome Mission. I am so excited to share the things I hold so dear and that give me so much joy with the people in Italy.

Why I am a Mormon

When My grandfather fist heard about the prophet Joseph Smith and the Restoration of the Gospel on the earth, he knew that the Church was true. God called Prophets before and has now called a Prophet on the earth again. Our Heavenly Father has prepared a way for us to return to Him through His son Jesus Christ who preform the saving atonement for us all. Jesus Christs gospel that was once on the earth has been restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith who translated the Book Of Mormon. God has again called a Prophet on the earth today. These truths bring peace and joy to my heart. I know that God lives, Jesus Christ our Savior lives, and this is His church. And because I know it is true, I have to live it. I am proud to say I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by standing out for my beliefs. I love to be involved in the theatre scene in my town and my standards and beliefs always manage to come up in conversation. Being a Mormon here isn't very common and people can have lots of different questions. I live my faith by being an active part of the church branch here, by attending, teaching, and conducting music in different classes we can strengthen one another and learn about eachother!

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No, Mission service is voluntary though it is strongly encouraged. For the longest time I didn't want to go on a mission! But its a great opportunity to share with people what our faith is and to serve people with out any distractions. Now I can't wait to go! There are so many people all over the world that could benefit from the messages we share, and it's a great privilege to be able to serve as a representative of the Church. Show more Show less
